Same day-goal numero dos

We just recieved an ipad to use in our classroom.  The dilema comes in the form of a number.  We have one ipad per grade level and therefore when it is my turn with the ipad, one ipad per classroom. "One is the loneliest number..."  Again, for the second time today Pinterest has come to the rescue.  I stumbled on this page, "The Single Ipad Classroom." This information is a good start but I'm curious to find more information.  Right now I'm going to check out and upload some apps recommended by the teachers in this study.  I've heard of being able to project what is on the ipad onto the smartboard and I'm interested in pursuing this.  In my classroom we have an activboard so I'm interested to see if there is a compatible app.  Off I go to play with the ipad!  In the mean time I must give credit to my Pinterest Education board, she's been good to me!

"Cute"

I've been perusing Pinterest for months now but only stumbled upon the "Education" boards just before school starting.  It proved to be a great find as I have come across many many ideas!  My students enjoyed hosting a funeral for the word, "said," (RIP) which was an idea I ripped (borrowed) from Pinterest.  Anywho, the fun ideas aside I have been scouring countless blogs written by teachers for teachers.  My number one issue, if you can call it that, is how on earth does one find time to blog for other teachers on the Internet aka strangers.  I can only assume these people must have no children, no spouses, no pets, no yards, no errands or treadmills to run, or number one in my world currently, no wedding to plan.  I can barely squeeze a load of laundry in by the time I get home and when I fall asleep.  Alas, here I am giving it a try.  My goal this rainy afternoon was to make my blog, "cute."  I know I know shouldn't it be about the content?  It will be I promise, but first things first it must be cute.  I found a site with free templates and backgrounds used on my teacher friend and tech master, Krystal's website.  It only took me an hour and a half, but low and behold, my blog is "CUTE."  As for content...to be continued...
